Gladu - Hwy 69 Four Laning

A joint venture project, managed by Leo Alarie & Sons Construction with partner Aecon Construction & Materials, completed construction of the first stretch of four-laning of Hwy 69, 10 km south of the four corners in Sudbury, southerly for 2.4 km, one year ahead of schedule.

Shawmere - Hwy 101

Project was located 30 km east of Chapleau Ontario and encompassed 21.8 km of restoration of Highway 101. 16 km was shave and pave, 5.8 km was new design, and also completed installation of 38 Centerline Culverts.

Porcupine Joint Venture East End Road Project

The road bed for the bypass around the Pamour pit on Highway 101 East has recently been completed. This road will allow for expansion of the pit through the existing Highway 101.

Montcalm Water Treatment Ponds

Leo Alarie & Sons recently completed the construction of Water Treatment Ponds for the Montcalm Mine Project in the Timmins area.

Langmuir Multiplate Overpass

Drilling and blasting of new road alignment on which a 5m high by 12m wide by 66m long multiplate culvert was assembled on poured-in-place concrete footings. It will serve as an underpass for the local traffic while PJV's Cat 785c 150-ton trucks are hauling ore from the new superpit.

Continuation of Divided Highway on Hwy 11

After completion of the bypass around Trout Creek, Leo Alarie & Sons Construction, together with Aecon Construction, were awarded the contract for the next stretch of divided highway from Trout Creek to South River, Ontario.

Trout Creek Bypass on Hwy 11

Leo Alarie & Sons Construction, together with Armbro Construction (now Aecon Construction), completed a 7.9 km stretch of divided highway around Trout Creek, Ontario in the Fall of 2002. This project was part of the ongoing work to connect the divided Highway 11 corridor between Powassan and Huntsville.
